The history of the most famous French porcelain factory begins in 1768, when in Saint-Yrieix-La-Perche, very close to Limôges, important caolin deposits are discovered. In this way the development of a new ceramic industry in Europe began. King Louis XVI will promulgate an edict to grant the city of Limôges the exclusive permission to produce porcelain for the kingdom of France. After the French revolution, several private porcelain factories will be established in the city, and each one will identify with a different name or symbol.

Today, each of his designs is unique and designed by authentic artists. The Limôges porcelain is manufactured in twenty manufactures, all located in the department of Haute-Vienne. Recognizing the authentic Porcelain of Limôges is very simple: all the objects of the French house carry the seal of its manufacturer.
