An antique Chinese Padouk wood desk is a beautifully crafted piece of furniture, typically made from the richly hued, durable Padouk wood, which has been highly prized in Chinese woodworking for centuries. Known for its deep reddish-brown color and fine grain, Padouk wood carved desk, having a row of small drawers, and a rectangular door enclosing stationery divisions, projecting base with drawers to frieze, pierced and carved throughout with blossoming prunus, square section cabriole legs with masks to knees, standing on lion paw feet.
