This is an antique decorative fire back. An English, cast iron hearth panel, dating to the mid Victorian period, circa 1850.

Charmingly decorative relief, ideal for adding interest to a traditional fireplace
Displaying a desirable aged patina and in good original order
Slender cast iron form with excellent relief casting
Presents a good, consistent graphite finish throughout
Set within a foliate border, two musicians play their trumpet and marching drums

This is an appealing antique decorative fire back, usefully narrow for the smaller fireplace. Delivered polished and ready to use. Presented in very good vintage condition.
