About This Piece

Vintage Design

bronze with green patina, signed on the marble by the Belgian sculptor Alexandre Ouline (active from 1918 to 1940), entitled " Le Guetteur au Javelot ".
The subject represents a naked man, in a lookout position, holding a spear in his hand.
His posture emphasizes his slender musculature, the eye is drawn to the graceful curves of the different parts of his anatomy. The whole rests on a rectangular base of black marble, bearing a personalized plaque, which can be removed if necessary.
The Artist has transcribed the vision of a man in a situation of vigilance, whose powerful body suggests a great capacity for action. An ode to the raw and virile beauty of the body, this work will charm you without a doubt.
