This charming water pitcher comes from the earthenware factory "Saint Clément" of Lunéville in Lorraine, whose production of the middle of the 20th century is as surprising in the audacity of the forms as in the use of bright and contrasted colors. Here, the pitcher is decorated with stylized blue boats in relief on a white background. Decorative or usual object, in a vintage bistro and bohemian spirit, it has a particular charm.

The ceramic is functional, traces of time and a slight chip on the spout are to be noted. It is signed and numbered 881-5 in relief under the base. The jug is a common piece, it can be used or become a decorative piece. This blue version of the pitcher seems to be the rarest.
