About This Piece

Vintage Design

An object made of multi-colored glass with slender proportions with a distinct narrowing in the lower part. Body-tinted glass in contrasting colors. Decorated in hot glass with a stylized peacock feather pattern. The vase is covered with a layer of iridescence that creates multi-colored reflections on the surface. This effect is achieved by covering the glass with a thin layer of a substance with a high refractive index. Iridescent glass remains transparent and only the light reflected from the surface becomes multicolored.

Smooth lines, a soft outline and stylized motifs taken from the world of fauna and flora are the elements characteristic of Art Nouveau craftsmanship.

Famous Czech glass factories such as: Wilhelm Kralik Sohn, John Loetz Witwe, Joseph Ridskop's Sohne or Pallme Konig & Habel were one of the largest producers of Art Nouveau glass in the world. Another famous and important glass producer was Louis Comfort Tiffany, USA, and Gallet and Daum Brothers in France.

A wooden crate may be used for intercontinental shipments for maximum protection.
Item will be left in its packaging after delivery.
A signature will be required upon delivery.
