About This Piece

This semi-abstract canvas was painted in acrylic.

The mix of white (with a few bluish highlights) and brown gives the impression of a frozen landscape.

An orange-red boat, however, reveals a human presence, drawing the viewer's eye.

This thickly worked composition was executed mainly with flat, notched knives.

The marks left by these two tools can be seen in places.
