About This Piece

Vintage Design

A charming little antique table dating to the late Victorian era. The table is quite compact and lightweight, made of mahogany and mixed woods.

It is perfect for use in a hallway or lounge, the ideal size for displaying a vase of flowers or a treasured piece of china.

The table is demi lune in shape and has a decorative acanthus front support and low undertier. The front of the table is fitted with a small drawer and the top is finished with a low back plate.

I have hand painted this piece in black water based paint before highlighting the table with gold and then waxing the finish for protection. The paintwork is solid colour and has a mid sheen.

CONDITION

This piece is generally in solid structural condition. The top has various small dents, pits and marks, it would have once had some sort of top section which was later removed. There is a small piece of wood missing from the right hand side at the back, as shown.
