Vintage Design

Jean Varoqueaux's workshop, "La poterie Périgordine", is known for having produced the famous and magnificent cocottes sold for the benefit of Josephine Baker's orphanage "Les Milandes". Here, it is a charming pitcher, raw material, which is proposed. The ceramic has a nuanced, textured glaze and a swarthy, organic shape.

The brutalist style water jug is in beautiful condition, with only minimal traces of time visible. It is signed "La Poterie Périgourdine" with a stylus on the back. Utilitarian ceramic, it could be used in decoration as an original vase.
