We are delighted to offer for sale this very rare one of a kind circa 1720 Sideboard sized chest with hand carved cherubs and huge storage Where to begin! This is a real tour de force of style and design not to mention an extremely useful piece of furniture. What we have is an original circa 1720 continental carved coffee or trunk on a later carved oak Stand especially made for the chest. There has been a Campaign handle fitted to the top and hinges so the entire top lifts up to reveal a massive storage area The carving to the front is sublime and looks glorious in any setting, this is a real wow piece of furniture that commands attention from wherever it stands We have lightly cleaned waxed and polished the piece from top to bottom, the base has had all the joints checked and secured, it's been worm treated and its correctly restored and ready to go.
