Contemporary Design

DOT collection uses furniture archetypes as a sculpture base. from a geometrical assembly to an organic object, the human body is used as a tool of mediation between a natural material and a manufactured process. The trace of the tool is intentionally exaggerated in order to leave a testimonial of a trace of the living. The contrast between the smooth seat and the rough uprights criticizes the will for a smooth, flawless society. Right here the wood is highlighted by its roughness and the time to human manufacture is respected.
