About This Piece

Man Lying is a Pencil Drawing realized by Georges Desvallieres (1861-1950). Good condition on a grey paper, included a cream colored cardboard passpartout (32.5x50 cm). Monogrammed on the lower right corner. George Desvallières (1861–1950) was a French painter. A native of Paris, Desvallières was a great-grandson of academician Gabriel-Marie Legouvé, and received a religious upbringing. Works by Desvallières may be found in the Musée d'Orsay and the Musée du Louvre. He died in Paris in 1950.
