Grand Bouddah Maravijaya, Kingdom of the Shan States, 19th century. The Awakened is represented in Vajrasana on its double Lotiform base, hands in Bhumisparsha Mudra. Sculpted wood, black lacquer and gilding. Very nice conservation state. Provenance: Succession of the collector and art dealer Claude de Marteau. Sold with certificate of authenticity. H 79 cm x D 26 cm x W 43.5 cm.
