Growing up as a child experiencing the inside of the rug world, Shazeen Ansari has become an artist within her profession. As a 4th generation rug maker, she works in close collaboration with her family in Bhadohi, India. Together with her team, she aims to combine inspiration from across the globe with exper t craf tsmanship, know-how and the finest quality materials. She is driven toward making the rug manufacturing process as user friendly and sustainable as possible. with her great knowledge of the entire process and comprehension of the various materials, Shazeen challenges the original weaving methods to discover new techniques to make unique structures and fine finishes. When experimenting with textures, she creates dif ferent tactile experiences, sof tnesses and play of colours with the intention to stimulate and please the senses.
