Important bronze, with brown patina, signed by French sculptor Jules Edmond Masson (1871-1932).
Son and pupil of Clovis Masson, this artist is known for his extremely precise animal art and orientalist scenes.
This work depicts a reclining English Setter holding a hare under its paws.
The dog's posture, which seems to be patiently waiting for its master with its booty, is upright and its gaze is focused on the distance.
This bronze print will appeal to lovers of naturalistic works.
