An unusual and imposing French Louis XVI style fireplace Breche d'Alep marble and Statuary white marbles. The carved fluted and scrolled console jambs with carved stars to corner blocks all in Statuary marble. The recessed frieze with carved masks in Statuary white also. French late 19th century. Opening sizes 96.5cm W x 103cm H.
