Large Melt cabinet by Antrei Hartikainen Materials: Stained and lacquered or untreated pine Dimensions: W 95 x D 73 x H 140 cm In the Melt cabinets industrially treated pine transforms into an unique art composition. The cabinet has been inspired by metamorphosis of the movement of water. By melting the ice again becomes liquid like rain. Surface of the cabinets is built up from hundreds and hundreds of pine rods which are glued together one at a time on multiple layers. Time-consuming working method enable to create the three-dimensional fluency on the surface.
