About This Piece

Horse is an original etching artwork on paper realized in 1976 by Leo Guida. Hand-signed in pencil and dated on the lower right. Titled on the lower left in Italian'' Monumento, serigraph'' The state of preservation is very good. The artwork represents a horse and his satirical rider and an eagle opened-winged in his hand. The artwork is depicted skillfully through confident strokes and characterized by a well-defined choice of shapes in a brilliant composition as a monument demonstrate mastery of the artist in the creation of realistic style and at the same time subjective conceptual artwork. Leo Guida: Artist sensitive to current issues, artistic movements and historical techniques, Leo Guida has been able to weave a productive interview on art and the function of the artist with many generations of young people during his activity. He was a teacher at the Liceo Artistico di Latina from 1969 to 1985, and trained many of the artists who today characterize the Italian cultural landscape. Copious was his production of graphic works in which Guida showed all his talent for the techniques of chalcography, etching, aquatint and burin etc.
