Long Pierre chair by Plumbum Dimensions: 43" x 51" x H 29" Materials: Upholstered with Holland and Sherry Wool. Also available without fabric, in different sizes, ottoman, and sets. Organic Pierre was inspired by a photographic work Eric Gizard did in the summer of 2019 in Turkey. from white pebbles cleaned and rounded by the sea, he assembled some of them into abstract forms, joining together in organic articulation. Eric Gizard was an Andrée Putman collaborator and is well known for his poetic work. Pierre is a living organism. Each element can be used in an individual, unique and monocellular way. Together, the curves of each element fit into each other as in a 3-dimensional construction game to form a whole without limits. Pierre is free. It gives the impression of growing according to his desires or those of those who welcome him. Every one can imagine complementary shapes to make it a totally adapted element. This sofa is one of the three combined elements. It can be alone or assembled with the other ones. See other modules of Organic Sofa Pierre. This handcrafted sofa made in France is customizable, you can choose other fabrics (here it is Holland & Sherry 100% wool). The sofa is very comfortable (bi-density foam) At a time when we are forced to slow down, crafts appear as a way forward, where we create less but better. This trend is cultivated by Plumbum with an emphasis on pieces with a high density of soul, poetic, high-quality craftsmanship, and noble materials. By inspiring and using the wealth of heritage and local craftsmanship, Plumbum designs original pieces in innovative materials, from furniture to objects, in collaboration with contemporary designers.
