Lyn high green black cabinet by Pulpo. Dimensions: D60 x W45 x H185 cm. Materials: glass; powder coated steel. Also available in different colours. Studio Visser & Meijwaard describe their conception of lyn as a “graphic interplay between glass and the metal frameworks”. The doorless and diverse series of cabinets and high boards are equivalent to the designers’ ambition to rethink established forms, like they did in their past as fashion designers. The reduction to the absolute essential form opens a free interplay of material and colour. Depending on the lighting conditions, the viewer’s perspective and arrangement it casts the utmost of diverse highlights. Each piece is created from coloured glass. Pulpo is a design editor for high-end products in the home sector. Design is our passion. Art is our engine. We are fascinated by the craft of the ceramic and glassblowing workshops and are guided by the rough aesthetics of these unique pieces. Pulpo’s philosophy goes back to the idea of the “carte blanche”.
