This original mid-century Malaga ceramic pot with blue accents, created by renowned Cerámica Hermanos Morillo, is an outstanding example of traditional Malaga craftsmanship. Its founder in 1941, José Morillo, was the creator, among other beautiful pieces, of this type of pot with the emblematic and unmistakable design of handles with knotted fabric in relief, which became the image of Malaga craftsmanship. The pottery was originally located in Colonia Santa Inés, within the premises of the important and historic Santa Inés ceramics factory, founded in 1879. Hermanos Morillo's ceramic pieces have decorated such emblematic places as Picasso's Birthplace and the Museum of Popular Arts, reflecting its deep roots in Malaga culture.

What makes this pot special is its history and artisanal quality. Each piece is made by hand, following traditional techniques passed down through generations. The flowerpot is not only a decorative element, but also a testimony to the rich cultural heritage of Malaga. Reflecting the dedication and skill required to create a work of this caliber, as well as its rarity and authenticity.

History and provenance: This pot is part of a pottery tradition that dates back to the 1940s. Cerámica Hermanos Morillo closed its doors in 1999, but left a lasting legacy in Malaga crafts. This pot has been made through unique artisanal processes, using clay extracted from the quarry, currently converted into the Laguna de la Barrera. This environment has influenced the uniqueness of the pieces, making them one of a kind.
