* Moia was one of the most important representatives of naive art in Nicaragua and created various works, including the mural on Monimbóplatz in the Berlin-Lichtenberg district in 1985. Monimbó is the artist's birthplace, from whose memory he painted most of his scenes.

* The motif shows a small village, the village square of which is in the background of the picture. A bullfight is taking place in the square, around which many people have gathered to watch.
