About This Piece

Vintage Design

Designed by George Cawardine in 1935 as a work lamp with ergonomics and stability as objectives, this lamp was made by Herbert Terry & Sons in England. It is an unusual variant, the "1209 model", which was intended for professional environments, more specifically medical. It stayed in the same family for 2 generations, the paint is period and particularly well preserved. It is to date from the mid -1950s. The electric cable has been changed. H max 183 cm x D 47 cm x W 47 cm (foot).
