Collection (41) “Mother's Day” and “Christmas” Plates Royal Copenhagen, s. XX - Denmark
Exquisite collection of Royal Copenhagen porcelain plates made in the 20th century. This collection features three different models, two of them on Mother's Day and the other on Christmas, all published annually.
Mother's Day
Royal Copenhagen designed Mother's Day commemorative plates to honor and celebrate motherhood, making them a highly popular and collectible gift. Each year, a new design was created, usually depicting touching scenes of mothers with their children or themes related to motherhood and maternal affection. The plates are characterized by their cobalt blue decoration on a white background, following the factory's tradition. Below are two different collections launched for Mother's Day, which differ in the height of the plate, as well as the border.
(5) 15 cm plates. in diameter (1982, 1984, 1985, 1986, 1987).
The inclusion of the border gives these plates a more ornate and detailed look, often associated with classic and traditional Royal Copenhagen designs. On the back, explanation of the illustration, year and signature of the polychromist in blue.

(26) 15 cm plates. diameter by 3 cm height (1969, 1970, 1971, 1974, 1976, 1977, 1978, 1799, 1980, 1981, 1982, 1983, 1984, 1985, 1986, 1990, 1991, 1992, 1993, 995, 1996, 1997 , 1998, 1999, 2000, 2002)
These plates lack the decorative border, presenting a simpler design focused on the central illustration. In the lower area “Mors Dag” and the year appear. On the back, the stamp, in some the serial number and again, the polychromator's mark.
Christmas
Christmas collections have been an essential part of its production and tradition for many decades. These collections not only include plates, but also a variety of decorative objects that celebrate the Christmas season. The Christmas collection began in 1908, when they released their first plate.
(10) Christmas dishes from the 1970s are presented, complete. Its diameter is 18.5 cm.

About Royal Copenhagen
Royal Copenhagen is a prestigious porcelain factory with a rich history dating back to the 18th century.
