Vintage Design

Important Oval Wall Mirror, Napoleon III period.
Its Gilded Frame presents Mouldings, sometimes striated, and is embellished with a Pearl frieze on the Inside.
This decorative object is crowned by a prominent pediment. The central element represents three Acanthus Leaves forming Rolls and containing in its heart Volutes and Flowers. The whole gives the illusion of a Fleur de Lys folding on itself.
On either side, we observe two ravishing garlands of intertwined foliage, ending with various flowers, including Roses.
Six similar but more Modest Ornaments are arranged on the most protruding part of the Frame.
In the lower part of the frame, there is a central Garland of Leaves and Scrolls in relief.
Its Original Mercury Ice is beveled around the perimeter and shows traces of Antiquity, proof of its Authenticity. This manufacturing process gives the Antique Ice Creams an inimitable look. They owe their charm in part to the imperfections of the glass and to the traces formed by time.
This Property is equipped with three Iron rings necessary for its installation.
It is then with a certain Pleasure that one will go back in time by contemplating this Important Golden Mirror.
