Unique Roots Candle Medium by Jeremy Descamps Unique piece Dimensions: 20 x 20 x 80 cm Materials: Candles in solid oak from the country burned in flam, inserts in brass, support of candles in brass. Even in the darkest places, where everything is black, a small flame is enough to illuminate. These candlesticks symbolize the hope that can be found in all places, in all circumstances. They are the light that we bring to magnify the black, give it its relief, its nuances, its texture. Each flame represents the light which sleeps or which burns in you. The wooden foot is like roots coming out of the earth to draw the essential energy for life. : Candles in solid oak from the country burned in flam, inserts in brass, support of candles in brass. Jeremy Descamps Born in Namur, July 7, 1987 Always attracted to manual trades, he went on to study as a lathe miller and made it his profession for more than ten years. It was in 2016 that he used his technical skills and his sensitivity to make his first creations, which will remain in the private sphere. It was the interest that these creations aroused in his entourage that prompted him to take the plunge and embark on the LFN adventure. He therefore embarked on the creation of tailor-made furniture for private and professional alike. This has enabled him to have nice collaborations such as the one with the Hors Champs restaurant. He also creates an annual collection, ORIGIN, made up of a range of home accessories, produced in very small series. Today LFN is evolving. Custom-made creations give way to total and unconstrained creation in the world of fine art furniture. He decides to present his creations made of wood only under the "Shu sugi ban" technique to mark his identity, his DNA, his black country in deep black (= Charleroi) He learns the previous gestures to cut and shape stone, a material he is particularly fond of. Supported by the benevolence of a former stonemason well known in Belgian quarries, it is the energy of the past that resurfaces in his creations Brass makes its entry, as well as copper. Jeremy is an artist whose main concern is to share, provide emotions, give meaning to objects, sublimate shades of black, textures. He meets people, in particular that of Caroline NOTTE, architect whose presentations are no longer to be made. from this meeting was born a collaboration since she offered to exhibit two creations in his famous house designed by Louis Herman De Koninck. A great introduction to the world of fine art furniture, as well as the various requests from the famous VILLAS magazine to appear in their issues.
