The solid high quality structure is in solid wood, the padding in excellent condition is covered in fabric in shades of green, brown and beige. In the 1970s Scandinavian designers sought to create furniture pieces that were functional, welcoming and at the same time aesthetically pleasing. Scandinavian design of the 1970s had a major impact on design culture worldwide, and many of its distinctive elements are still evident in modern furniture products.
