Exceptional Meissen Porcelain Figurine: Dancer in a skirt puffed out around the hips with a tight, strapless and backless top with golden buttons, posing with a fan and castanet, a small hat with tassels with a hatband resting on her chin pushed low on her forehead. On a flat curved base plate with gilding to the sides. Rare execution of the staffage in striking, bold colors. Designed by Paul SCHEURICH (1883-1945) who was painter, sculptor, graphic artist, drawer and stage designer. He worked for Meissen manufactory from 1913 to 1936 and belonged to one of most important porcelain designers of the first half of the 20th century.
