Lovely english victorian circa 1880 twin pedestal partner desk with original castors and vr stamped locks for victoria regina a good looking and well made desk in period lightly restored condition throughout. The desk has a lovely timber patina which is quite dark, the brown leather writing surface is in excellent order throughout as mentioned the locks are all stamped vr for victorian regina meaning they were made and patented in the reign of queen victoria we have cleaned waxed and polished the desk from top to bottom, it has age related signs of use all-over as you would expect from a piece nearly 160 years old, nothing that detracts for the functionally and aesthetic beauty of the piece. Dimensions: height 74 cm width 122 cm depth 67.5 cm legroom space height 60 cm width 54 cm condition: please view the very detailed pictures as they form part of the description around condition please note vintage period and original items such as leather seating will always have natural patina in the form of cracking creasing and wear, we recommend regular waxing to ensure no moisture is lost, also hand dyed leather is not recommended to sit in direct sunlight for prolonged periods of time as it will dry out and fade.
